Why are there 4 teams per bracket? I can only recall 1 alliance (the #1 alliance) replacing a bot and getting a 4th team (224 for 1676). And 173, 357, and 222 were definately together from beginning to end.

Wow.. how did 25 get knocked out? New drivers? Actually, how did the elims play out to get to these outcomes?

25 has new drivers, but they've had a bit of experience (unless it was different group from the drivers at Duel on the Delaware).

I was definitely surprised by that early exit, especially with the aid of fellow Duel on the Delaware champion 365 and Palmetto finalist 1676. Granted, the #8 alliance is no slouch--but I bet a lot of folks were turning over lots of Krispy Kremes to their teammates after the outcome of that one.

How the #1 got knocked out was because of the stellar defence of team 423, who minimized the scoring abilities of 25 and 365.

I don't think id place the blame on the drivers, id just say the opposing alliance performed better during that match, i believe 25's camera wasn't working, which could be a major reason, but nothing/no one is unbeatable, it was just a matter of the all the right circumstances happening at once. A Big Congratulations to all the winning teams, you guys deserved it

Isn't 583 supposed to be 563?

thanks for the vote of confidence- but sometimes you just DON'T win. No problem. We had a fun time, learned a whole lot and look forward to a great 2007.

Ahh, our wheels kept falling off, and the belt that drove the shooter broke (no spare), so we weren't really up to par that day. The new kids definitely learned what the term "weak spot" means, though, and that can only help us this coming season.

I was very proud of our new team of drivers and pit crew. They never panicked, just worked quickly and efficiently. The small pits were challenging, but these guys pulled together and worked as a TEAM.

Some of them also started to understand: It's still not about the robot.

With the year that Team 25 had it would be crazy to focus on one playoff match. They had one of the best year's of any team in FIRST history. Just amazing!

We were honored to have Team 25 at Ramp Riot.

25 and 365 got knocked out by a stellar performance of the #8 alliance. 341 was definately on the mark the whole time, and 423 has proven themself an excellent defensive bot this offseason (won DotD, finalist at BE, SF at RR, etc). Additonally, 25s camera has been broken the last few weeks. While it doesnt hurt them drastically during the driver period, they can no longer shoot during autonomous. The two #8 alliance wins were very close wins, regardless.

Also, 365 had mechnical problem as well - lost chain, jammed ball, etc. These things happen. But again, the main reason for this type of competition isn't to win a trophy. Learning to deal with problems and disappointment is just as valuable.

I have to give kudos to the #8 alliance for taking the best out of three QFinals. They played awesome matches against the #1 alliance. They were some great matches to watch.

These matches just demonstrate that strategy, hard play, and determination can lead to success. Congratulations to 104, 341, and 423 for some great FIRST competition in the QFinals!

Although I did not see them all, I heard that many other match-ups in the elminations were hard-fought and fun to watch also. Great job to all teams participating!
