This is all we have so far... interesting, huh? Any guesses?
Sorry if I bore you.

those looks like rollers for polycord or something....powered assist ramp? (think conveyor belt)

This one really baffles me.... Even if you were collaberating that is a lot...

They're probably wheels, (my guess is 4") and you're using a new tread material this year.

Joel JNO way I'll figure out what these are.. I'm blinded by the sum, and can't see them apart.

Pulleys to drive an elevator arm? (Forklift style)
22-01-2007 02:54
Travis CovingtonA few hints...
#1 They are 7075 aluminum.
#2 They will be hex broached, but that will NOT make them finished.

My money's on Drive Sprockets for #25 chain. The double ones are for the center wheel, and the single ones are for the front and back wheels.

I think the little ones with the rounded edges are the shooter, they fire balls into the goal, and I think the pulley's are for bring the balls to the shooter, with polycord and maybe some of that high traction stuff IFI uses

GBITYah ....... this year is the one with the innertubes and the "rack".

Parts of a pulley system that will manipulate your tubes?
22-01-2007 16:34
Jeremiah HHalf of those look an awful lot like our hubs for the KoP AndyMark wheels, and the other half look like pulleys, though they seem small for that application.
Whatever they are, they sure are shiny.

Clearly they're just a bunch of spinning tops that 968 is giving away at competition.

Is that right?!?
How many teams are involved in this collaboration? Three? |

Two -- just the same as last season. There're enough parts for two competition robots and two practice robots.

+ 2 demo gearboxes + spares.
Stay tuned for the gearboxes and drivetrain. All I can tell you is that the only steel you will find is in the bearings, chain, and hardware. Oh, and very little 6061 aluminum was used. |

Wow how light is your drivetrain going to be. the 2005 254/60/22 drivebase w/ electrinics was about 55. How much is yours?

With electronics, not entirely sure. Especially with the heavy fuse panel and the DIN rail/block assembly.
Without electronics, ~25 lbs |

Guy ChriquiIMO they look like Aluminum sprockets and pulleys? The bevel makes me think that the thin ones are going to be sprockets, just waiting for teeth to be cut. I think the drive system is unrelated to these parts personally, maybe a manipulator design?
