291 Gripper
This is Team 291's gripper without a tube in it. The claws are pneumatic fired and are elliptical to fully grasp the tube. The entire assembly then pivots to make the tube parallel to the spider legs. We aim for the entire gripper assembly (Gripper, Mast, ect.) to weigh 30-40 lbs. The rig can reach the bottom and middle rungs. The design has been modified slightly from this to allow for the "fingers" to pivot instead of retract into the two aluminum plates.
