Looks like the wheels on the closest side are up off the ground a bit. How much does the 'bot wobble?

Looks good, otherwise. Nice wheels. Messy electronics.

What's bolted on top? A polycarb sheet?

I believe that the center wheels are lowered 1/4", so the bot has a fair bit of rock.

They don't really wobble at all as of now. Thats because of the battery....but again, its not done. Arm still have to mounted so we might be changing the position of wheels.
Electronics are really not messy; but when they are mixed with pnuematics, i think it just looks like it.
Top is just a piece of wood right now.........don't ask why :-p

Woah! Conflicting answers! It'll rock a lot less on the carpet.

Once the weight is more finalized, you should beef up the hardware at the corners of the chassis a bit.

I agree. As of now we are also facing problems with the position of the wheels. But as I said before, we will keep making adjustments as we add weight to it.

it is currently a 1/8th inch offset it seems to be running better this way now. Before we found the 1/4th inch offset a little bit to much.

That my friend is the finest of all woods, lighter and more flammable than the competition.

Team 1757 built a robot last year using wood as our primary construction material. It actually held up very well in competition (pretty rough, as anyone who was at the Boston regional can attest!), as wood has a pretty convenient elasticity. Parts of the bot did splinter and crack constantly, but it wasn't hard to "machine" new ones . No shame in going natural!

How tall does the drivetrain stand at the time of the picture, without the arm or the other peripherals?

Its only 1ft or 12 inches as of now. With arm, it will be 4 ft or 48 inches.

Or went to Chantilly....
But my statement is true. It has a fair bit of rock, it just never uses it because of the current weight distribution.
