Wheel bearing blocks with 254 style cam tensioner?

Is 968 using the cams, or the screw based system from last year?

Are the black ones delrin? You guys are freakin' anorexic this year....

This picture finally confirms my suspicion that 254 and 968 are in fact building works of modern art this year, to be displayed on a FIRST field. Mind you, thats what they did last year too...

LOL. The presentations for these 254/968 are quite something. They always stand out when I look through the CD gallery.

If you're talking about pretty in general, look back at nearly all of 4/22/60/254/968/980 (they've all been connected at some point) over the years.

Seeing as the parts are anodized (says so in the title), I'm betting no

Also, 4 has never been connected directly to 254, but rather both 22 (who they split off from in 2006) and 980 (who they collaborated with in 2006). 22 collaborated with 254 in 2005. Slowly but surely the poof network is growing.

I hope I get this right...

I think credit for this wheel mounting design goes to Glenn Thoroughman who used to coach the Bionic Bulldogs - Team 60. The cam tensioning system came in a bit later, but it was 60 that started the "West Coast Drive" back in 2002...

So who else is collaborating this year?

We really want to anodize this year cuz it looks awesome but we don't know anything about it. So i was wondering...
How much does it cost?
Who do you take it to?
Anything else we should know?

Please and thank you

Your best bet is to call a whole bunch of local companies to see if they'll donate it.

This year pretty much every aluminum part of our bot is anodized (and theres a lot of alumnium). It cost us nothing because were able to find a shop willing to do it for us. They will explain to you the process, but basically you just need all your aluminum with a nice finish, you give it to them, and if theyre quick you can get it the next day with a nice color on it. They can make pretty much any color, if you have a specific color in mind, bring in an example, most places will usually be able to match it (close enough).
