Team 73 Teaser

This is a major component of our robot this year, fabrication was completed today and it provides a nice hint to the robot functionality. Have fun.

unless gravity is pulling sideways now, its not. (look at the FIRST medals hanging in the background)

Greg, this part looks very similar to a part on our robot. I like the way you think. Hopefully this similar strategy will only be employed by our two robots. Can't wait to see it in action. Maybe Art can post some pics of our rendition of this! Btw, how is your shaft handling the cantilevered load?

BEN

Hey, looks like part of your drive system, maybe to rotate the wheels 360 degrees?

Is it a mechanism that rotates a ramp to a level position as a platform? An arm that's held from the top of the robot instead of the bottom, though I wouldn't know why?

The shaft is 1018 hardened steel that has been turned into a "T" by welding a part to it, so most of the load is not on the end of the shaft......it works fine

I am wondering at what point I should post the real picture...maybe tomorrow.
