Team 1816's 2007 Robot

This here is Team 1816's 2007 robot, tentatively named Zarthan. What you see here is not the absolute final product, but a very good representation of what it will look like in competition. We will be switching out two of the traction wheels for omnis to aid in turning, and we will switch out the wheel sprockets in order to gain some speed. Some specs include: 2 CIMs per side with the Kit Transmissions, Two 2" bore pneumatic cylinders for the ramp lifts, and for special defensive autonomous modes, the CMU cam. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

As of now, no there is not any game piece manipulation. We have dreams of a possible autonomous mode, but we'll have to see. Its main goals are defense and two robots at 12".

Thanks. We loved playing with you guys at Wisconsin last year. Hopefully we'll end up in the same division at the Championship.

Please tell me there's a bearing block or some sort of support on the outside end of that banebots shaft... it looks badly cantilevered, you're probably going to have serious issues if it's not supported.

The ramp looks great!

We shipped the bearing blocks with the robot because we never got around to putting them on. The robot has had a max of 45 mins. total driving time as of ship, so we haven't put too much stress on them, thankfully.

The ramps worked out nicely after we went through a few iterations of our original design. They are strong and have good traction, but were a little heavier than we'd hoped. Thanks for the comments!
