Here are the acrylic domes we ordered for camera protection this year. We had many problems with the CMU cam being knocked around last year, so we've beefed up the security

How expensive were those? We did something similar, except we used a plastic container from K-Mart (cylinder instead of dome though).

=Martin=Taylor=You could probably buy a sky-light cover just like that at OSH.
Is it effected by glare?

They were around 25 bucks a piece. We got 2 for the robot and one for a spare. We ordered them with a handy flange to mount standoffs that will connect to our camera plates. We ordered ours from globalplatsics.ca under the small domes category. 7" diameter, just right for the CMU cam's movements.
Glare isn't a problem from what I can tell. I'll post a pic of them mounted on the bot when we get to portland.

Very, very, very clever... do they effect the vision system at all with like reflecting green lights, or anything? Also what about scratches will that disrupt the camera reading.... Well i guess that is why there is always replacements right.
