We were right impressed with our performance at Palmetto (no team from Richland One had ever been an alliance captain, and only 1398 at Peachtree this year preceded us in eliminations at all), so our teacher had the alliance captain bib framed and put on the wall of the classroom. (Also visible is the cover from the Palmetto Regional, a Palmetto Regional poster signed by Dean that 1293 gave us, and a bronze medal.)

Nice, always good to give all of the teachers a look at what they are missing out on. 
When your teachers see things like that, they usually like to get involved in the program. That is what happened at our school anyway. Great Job!

Wow! Now how cool is that? And 1293's generousity, that's very GP. Too bad I live up here in the snowy north-ish, 1618 sounds like a cool team to design robots with. Maybe when I retire.
