FTC 35's prototype for 2007

Do to a tight budget, my team has to use parts that we have available. They were very disheartened until they saw Metal Gear's great white paper ( http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/papers/2029 ). They took their basic design, changed the gearing, added a third joint, and a gripper of our own design. That white paper was a great spring board for my kids this year. This Picture is several weeks old. I'll post another picture when it gets closer to completion. My team just wanted to give a big thanks to Metal Gear for posting this!

Well, we've been working pretty hard lately. We are now in the "let's see if we can break it" phase. Here's a link to our second practice session of the year with a robot that should be close to what we are taking to C-ville on the 30th.

275 for registration
100 for tournament
500 on starter kit, programming kit, power pack, hardware and metal kit

its gone!
i only got a little bit of parts to work with, but im doing fine!
perhaps next time it'll go better...
