The Pink Team is proud to announce that it has successfully completed Roccobot 2k8 and is now ready to begin testing and driver practice. Turns out, the only difference between Overdrive and Rack 'n' Roll is a bit of duct tape!

Yep, we're in a library, with all that educational stuff.
I'm disappointed because Pink was the first to pull this exact trick last year - people believed it, too - but know a dozen or so teams beat us to the punch. Oh, well.
Actually, this is comically similar to one design that we were batting around, but we decided to do do something else instead. Hmmmmm, I wonder what it could be. . .

How sturdy was the arm and the chassis when you lifted it? Was there any real issue involving the track ball weight?

I do think that teams experimenting with the manipulators/robots from last season or prior seasons is a great way to see the differences and similarities in the game piece/design.
Seeing robots in libraries is also cool. Bonus points for that!

I think that the size of the ball is what is intimidating, but 10 lbs is still only 10 lbs.
