very nice.
I'm curios why you chose to "chop off" the corners making a hexagon instead of a rectangle? I know this is what swampthing did last year.

We did it so if we were trying to squeeze in between two robots, it would make it easier to kind to push between them. This might happen if we are going fast and two robots get in the way.

By the way...we love swampthing!

good catch. and not a bad way to shape a robot if you have a driver that likes spearing through resistance

I haven't used coolie ds. on our robots, we used alum. omni, I think
they are more rigid ,but again...

Nice! The angled front end should keep you from getting snagged. Do I see flat stock on the back to support the wheels? That's one shape we don't have that could be very useful in my opinion.

They aren't trying to get holonomic motion. They're going for skid steering with a little better performance than a standard 4WD. Having those traction wheels keeps them from inadvertently going sideways.

i like the idea of the angled front of the robot, makes sense with the gameplay this year if you ask me, i was wondering... how well do you like that material for your chassis? good luck this year.

We love it! It allows to build really fast! Its really strong. Non conductive, non corrosive, electromagnetically transparent, and 1/5 the weight of steel and 1/3 of aluminum.
