so going from your previous teasers that involved an upright tilted back frame structure, then manipulator pieces then cam followers.
i'm calling a tilted back forklift with actuated forks that rock back to capture the ball then rock forward to roll it over.

am i anywhere close?

how close do those forks come to the 80"rule looks interesting, unless there in some alternate position. And i bet those cam followers were for the carriage on the forklift. We've used cam followers for chain tensioners on #25 chain this year and last year there nice
