jdhThat pit was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was so organized and neat it was like you put it up and never touched it.
Great job keeping it all so awesome, CORE. You guys rule.

wilmo1 question.
How hard is it to ship?
Nice clean design, I would like to do something like this, but shipping is a problem.
Thanks,
Wilmo

Are your students or mentors properly trained to use the Fire extinguisher?

SunshineThanks for the compliments on the Pit.
Concerning the shipping question:
The Pit disassembles into 12 panels that measure approximately 4' x 4 1/2'. Some of the panels are hinged together for easy assembly. We also designed/created u brackets with wheels that all the panels fit into for easy transporting.
If you are in Atlanta, please stop by. We would love to show it to you.
The team takes great pride in showing the Pit and it is an evolving project for them.

In 11 years of attending FIRST events, this is the safest, cleanest and most organized pit I have seen.
These guys were across from our pit in St. Louis, and our pit crew was in awe.

SuperJakeThis pit is something to marvel over - you know this because even the resident ghost is also amazed by it! I mean it must be a big deal to take a break from an eternity of haunting to check out this pit set-up!

MegaSparksIn reference to the use of the fire extinguisher, every team member has ongoing training in all aspects of safety and the use of the fire extinguisher was one training session held. We take safety very seriously at CORE and the training on safety started before the build season and continues at every meeting we hold. Our safety captain has made this his passion.

MegaSparksIt takes some time to set up but it really is worth it because we can find anything we need and everything has it's place. We continually strive to improve all aspects of the team, robot, and the pit. We have team members that clean up and put things away when the robot is not in the pit. There is constant care put into making sure the PIT is as spotless as we can make it. A clean pit is a safe pit. Continual improvement is key. This is an old photo from St. Louis. Is there one from Milwaukee?
