FRC 1817 Field Goal Attempt
The FRC1817's 2008 Overdrive robot "Boomer" showing the College Game Day staff we really could make a field goal if they had let us. We tried to get on their mini field but no dice. Check out the kids on the cooler-scooter watching from the left side of the photo!
The local law enforcement, the Texas Tech Police, bystanders, and ESPN staff thought the robot was pretty neat. Our mentors got a tour of some of the broadcasting technology including the digital audio booth.
And we almost had a crash between Bobby Knight's golf cart and the robot! (Well, he almost ran over us anyway...)
