Here is our frame right after we were done welding and before we put our wheels on.
Lot's of milling work done the old fashion way (adds CNC to his Christmas list)!

sdcantrell56That thing looks huge. What are the dimensions on that? It does look incredible. I like that pattern for lightening. It just looks right. Overall that's a great job guys.
Is it 8wd as well with the back wheel direct driven

Akash RastogiWoW
I know I've seen the pic before....but man, that thing looks BEASTLY. I can't wait to see you guys at Trenton.
Are you guys going to 303's practice field? If so, we'll see you guys there again.
I'm so happy to be able to call these guys the EWCP's rookie leaders.
P.S. Link to that pic with the white board marker in the middle, it puts the size into perspective.

meastmanLooks like a nice, solid frame. Good work.

=Martin=Taylor=Had you gone with 1/16" wall I suspect you could have equaled the current weight for a fraction of the effort... Of course this is coming from the laziest machinist ever
It does look awesome. I want to see what goes on top!

It looks great. I do have a question though.
You can make basically this exact same chassis with the kit chassis components in about 1/50th the time. What decision factors pushed you towards making the custom chassis? I'm not trying to critique, as it looks fantastic, I'm just curious.
Thanks!

Jimmy NicholsTeam Overdrive,
Looks Awesome! I missed seeing your FTC team this year at the Ohio Championship. Good luck in your first season of FRC. Maybe Team 1038 will meet up with you in Atlanta.

nnfullerWell it looks great! You guys never fail to push the envelope even in FTC. To bad we won't get to see each other this year unless we both make it to worlds!
(crosses fingers)

Just so everyone feels better, it is a wide base. Measures 27.5" by 37.5", which gives us .5" for nuts and bolts.
Hopefully everything goes well this year, so far its been a bit slow, but what team does not feel that way.
