Team 188 celebrates the creation of Blizzard X this year. Since 2000 the team has named its robots Blizzard, and this year marks the tenth time a robot will leave our shop with this namesake.
"The Tenth Time's a Charm!"
Blixy the polar bear, our team mascot, is pictured curiously peering through Blizzard X's maze-like collection of... whatever those are?! He's optimistic, as always, about this year, but wonders: For a team with a reputation for building robots mostly out of paint rollers and serial cables... will the darn thing work?
Blixy invites you to find out at Rochester and the GTR!
Be sure to stop by the pits for free pins, or to purchase one of our limited run Blizzard X commemorative T-shirts.

pacoliketacoWell, that to me looks like some good ol' twin walled polycarbonate. my team has been using that the past four years. it is amazing stuff.

Who cares about the robot*... I am in love with Blixy! That is the cutest darn polar bear I have ever seen!
*I can't believe I just said that... my love for stuffed bears and my love for robots are battling each other!

I am thinking the same thing, you can see some areas where the two sections were melted together to form one single band to suck the balls either up or along a path.
