558's 2009 bot: The Great Glass Elevator
Well, here it is, folks. The Elm City Robo Squad's 2009 entry, dubbed by students "The Great Glass Elevator" because the conveyor looks like the elevator in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's a fast and accurate dumper that harvests and can be loaded by the payload specialists. Can hold about 10 balls and dump them in a matter of seconds. Proximity sensors help the driver know when he is scoring proximity to a trailer. Can also pick up and deliver empty cells. See you in CT and Atlanta!
