Go to Post I am sad that the Patriots lost, and I am happy for both teams that won...but I am even more thrilled that for the next two weeks robot building in the midwest comes to a standstill. ;) - Jessica Boucher [more]

Team 2840 Lunacy Robot Preview

Team 2840's 2009 robot, as of yet unnamed, undergoes drive testing prior to shipping. We have conveyor-belt ground pickup, a pneumatic bucket with an 8+ ball capacity, and a four-wheel-drive linked steering drive base.
Our steering system requires a little explanation. Our team has a tendency to describe it as an Ackerman steering system, but it can also do a high-speed turn-in-place when both sides are angled in opposite directions, dragging the trailer along with it.

We weigh in at 116 pounds without the bumpers or the battery. There are a few small adjustments and additions that we have planned for the regional, but those shouldn't take us over the weight limit.
