Lunacy is a contact sport
As this repair illustrates, Lunacy robots made occasional contact with each other outside of the bumper zone. Not just light, incidental contact, but the kind that bends chromoly. It can be important to have a little margin in your weight budget, for times when a quick repair like the one shown here become necessary. BTW, the gusset was made from a piece of the team's crate.
