During bill signing ceremony on Wed. 4-22-09. The bill starts fully qualified science and math teachers at Step 5, basically giving them the pay of a 5th year teacher in their 1st year of teaching.

Congratz to the team and to the Governor for increasing the wages for hard to fill teaching positions. Maybe this will encourage more students to move into math and science education.
