Where did your robot go this weekend?

Here is our robot at Fenway Park. We participated in the Northeastern Alumni Family Day, doing demonstrations of and allowing kids to drive our 2009 Robot.

This may be the best thing I have ever seen. If only it were a little warmer in April, we could have the Championship at Fenway! Think about it, 30k seats, big open space for pits and fields, large city with a busy airport, what more could you ask for?

Well...I can dream can't I?

The "more" that you could dream for is that Regina's Pizzaria in the North End would cater for free. Now that would be cool.

Our robot slept the entire weekend after demoing on Friday.

I second this. The Typewriter Repair Men were incredible this weekend. A well deserved win!

Very cool kb.

MORT kept it local and did a demo at the Somerset Patriot's game first day of July with 56, 102, 1403, and 1626.

We then visited a Montessori school to demo for the little kids, Friday night was another elementary school demo with DiCicco doing his FLL stuff (you know how all that goes lol) then another cub scout demo.

The 09 bot's been busy this offseason so far. Carnival is coming up too.

Spartnik was kept busy this weekend at our annual "Robots at the Races" event, at the local speedway. We demonstrate at the front gate while people come in, then we go to the races ourselves.

One of our sponsor's main cars won too, in the 350 Pro Modified series.

She's sleeping right now.

Nativity Carnival! There's an annual carnival that a local elementary and middle school hosts near our school, and our team and robot was one of the booths. We also got the opportunity to demonstrate near the stage whenever the bands had breaks.

Our 2007 robot also participated in an American Cancer Society's Relay For Life, helping inspire the community and make participants aware of FIRST

Team 223 went to NYC on Sunday to participate in the World Science Fair. We joined two other NJ teams, 75 and 56, and a bunch of NY teams to spread the message of FIRST to many passersby. We also played with a ton of really cute little kids and got to talk to Dean!!!!!
