Go to Post first post and the FRC "well what is a stick" comes in. Toothpick, does it need to be round, does a carbon fiber chain of Buckie balls count as a stick. CD posters are sooooo predictable. - Foster [more]

When you're snowed in...

REX 1727 has already lost one build week due to snow days, but thankfully our wonderful sponsor AAI provided us a place to work this past weekend. The hardest part was getting everyone past security! Here you can see our robot partially complete. The devices seen here have already been upgraded since the picture was taken.

I know what you mean about security. Some late nights, the university's security team comes in and asks us when they can lock-down the building!

Nice side kicker! Exactly what we're doing.

And I'm glad your team was able to adapt to the situation and make the best out of it! Be sure to give your sponsors a huge cake/hug!!

We invited our security guards to our pre-ship scrimmage! Most of the security guards on our work site are pretty cool, but there's always a bunch of drama pre-season with getting all the right forms filled out and submitted to the right people.

Down here in Austin, TX we would have gladly taken some of your snow for you guys to have been able to work! Best of luck dealing with your circumstances, and I hope the 25-pound increase in the witholding allowance will help.

We generally don't have problems with security at Chrysler. Our mentors have taken care of that...

We do have problems with lights. The Chrysler Tech Center has an automated lighting controller that will turn the lights off to the BotCave and conference room when it thinks we don't need them. Which is usually when we do need them, since we work at non-standard hours. We found that leaving the lights on makes them think we're there and leave the lights on.
