Go to Post first post and the FRC "well what is a stick" comes in. Toothpick, does it need to be round, does a carbon fiber chain of Buckie balls count as a stick. CD posters are sooooo predictable. - Foster [more]

Congratulations team 558 on a very nice machine this year, and more importantly your Engineering Inspiration Award at Hartford. I hope you get the funds together to attend Atlanta.

One of my favorite moments during the regional was watching 558 and 230 hang on opposite sides of the red tower simultaneously, climbing at the same rate. With the similar robot shapes and two sets of red bumpers, it was a very cool sight.

Well done with your robot this year, 558. It's a great machine!

Thanks, Art and Ellen. I've spent the greater part of today on the phone, and we are very close to being able to attend (albeit with a small crew). We will know for sure tomorrow morning. Hope to see you all there (at least my husband will, I'm sitting out this one).

I am happy to report that as of 9:30 this morning, team 558 is registered for Atlanta! This was possible in no small part through the generosity of FRC teams 1124, 230, 3125 and 176, each of which gave our team a part of their portion of a fund established by CT FIRST to help qualifying teams from the state attend the Championship. In the case of team 176, Aces High, they donated their ENTIRE portion of the fund. Rest assured that each of these teams will receive a proper thanks from us in the near future, but for now I wanted to let the FIRST community know just how gracious these teams have been. THIS is what FIRST is really all about. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, and see you in Atlanta!!
