Go to Post TL;DR: The robot battery (and your car battery) aren't going to electrocute you unless you stab a positive and negative wire from them into your heart. In which case you have plenty of other problems besides. - Kevin Sevcik [more]

Dean's List Award

Since there are only 10 of these on the planet and not many have seen them, we thought we'd share: it's 8.5" tall, 6" wide, about 2 3/8" thick, and weighs 10.5 pounds. A really beautiful piece of artwork.

Thought this was something everyone ought to have a chance to see. This award (along with all of the other goodies the Dean's List finalists and winners received) is a very thoughtful way to recognize some very worthy students. Thank you to all involved at/with FIRST in making the Dean's List possible.

That's really neat. I didn't get a chance to hang out with the winners enough to see one up close and at the front like that.

Is the top FIRST logo in 3D? The circle looks like it is tiled a bit into/out of the inside of the acrylic.

Its insane how much stuff they gave to the winners. The winner on our team, Seth Berg, had to put some of his things in other peoples bags for the flight back because his bag was way over the allowed weight. Lucky for him they let him bring the award onto the plane, but then again they did use a chemical swab on the award to make sure he wasn't smuggling anything on it.

They had to do the same for me!!! Luckily security was really nice and let me explain why I was carrying a brick of crystal with me, but I got some pretty funny looks
