Looks like a tap for a 2" cylinder.

Two robots, 8WD, dead axle, shifting transmissions.

Dead axle would require bearing seats in the wheels, no?

Though I don't know why there are 16 wheels in this picture...

You could use bushings instead of bearings. I made the dead-axle guess based upon the six hole pattern in all of the wheels.

Eugene was bored and wanted to make 4 sets of swerve drives.

On a serious note- is that a new wheel design? Size/more pics would be appreciated!

I took no significant part in designing this bot!

You hit the "quote" button next to the comment you want to quote. You can edit what is inside the brackets.

Just wondering, what advantage do you get in making your own wheels? Are they lighter, stronger or what?

Yes, they are lighter, and you can use any diameter (lever advantage) or width. They also have better tread grip and are quite nice in my opinion.

I don't think these are dead axle drive parts, the plates that look like gearbox bearing blocks seem to connect to the hubs which screw onto the (internally threaded) wheels and are secured with six bolts.
