But if we just re-play "Triple Play" then what in the world will the Game Design Committee do with all that new-found free time? Since they wouldn't have to come up with a new game, they would have to concentrate on other things - like how to enforce the proposed "no metal on robots" rule. - dlavery [more] |

Here is our 2011 Robot.
It has Mecanum drive with independent suspension for each wheel.
The manipulator is a roller claw that allows to grab game pieces with minimal effort. The claw has a limit swith to shut off the rollers once the piece is grabbed.
The elevator and arm are driven by a single FP motor. The elevator and arm give us a maximum extended height of well over 10 feet. It takes about 1.5-3 seconds to reach max height at full power. The position is controlled using limit switches at the top and bottom combined with an encoder for intermediate positions.
The shown Robot weighs 90 lbs we removed minibot deployment as part of the withholding allowance. It will weigh in at approximately 10 lbs.
