2011 Robot weekend before "bag and Tag"
- 8wd with shifting transmissions (4 inch wheels)
- Roller claw with light sensors to detect tubes
- Arm pivots allowing for pickup or scoring from both sides
- 3 section telescoping arm able to reach all scoring locations
- Side mounted mini-bot deployment system
- A few more bells and whistles

IKEVery cool guys. I can't wait to see it in action at Kettering. It reminds me of another "colorful" robot from a few years back.
I love the over the back feature. It could be extremely powerful...

I can't wait to see this thing in action, it's just a shame it's going to have to be via webcast
Good luck this year guys!

Akash RastogiLooks like an awesome machine. Can't wait to see it in person hopefully. I've been a huge fan of RUSH since 2008 Archimedes.

It certainly does have a Pink look and feel...and it's no accident.
I personally always drooled over their telescoping arm design. We've been waiting for a good opportunity to build one for ourselves!
Now that we're done I'm even more impressed with the level of quality and engineering that went into their designs.
So far this bot is shaping up to be my favorite RUSHBot yet.

The color scheme really makes it look like Fisher Price started marketing pink's 07 robot!

maverickfan138That's incredible how small of a robot you guys built. How much does it weigh?

Josh FritschOnce we have all the graphics and stuff on we'll be up there, probably around 118 I would think.

jrz126I really like the ribbon cable connecting the CRIO to the DIO Sidecar. The molded cable they give us sticks out way too far. Any chance you'd be willing to share the part #/source for it?

J@GMFlintNot sure if RUSH has the same thing based on the pic, but you can get a kit from AndyMark here.

ttakashimaDrill Motors are not legal, but the gear boxes are. We are using a Ryobi one till we get our Banebots gear box.

I think that those of you who think this is a "small" robot might be thrown off due to the size of the arm tubing relative to that of the frame. As far as I know, the frame is built slightly under the max dimensions like RUSH does every year. I could be wrong, but from my visit to the shop the weekend before ship this would be my assumption
