FRC 2745 METRoS 2011 robot pre-bag & tag

The night before bag n tag still showing the prototype tube collector and minibot deployment system still in development. Looking forward to seeing the final robot competing in their new hometown regional.

wow that looks sick, i like the wheels but i don't know how you move straight, i know they are omnis, but does it work just like mecanums?

In theory this drive system is identical to the behavior of a mechanum. I am not the expert on the math of the physics involved but yes it is a holonomic drive.

The DiscoBots also use corner omni killough drive.

I like the drive system. The paint scheme makes the top look a bit like those 2-ton car jacks, you know, the ones with a red metal pyramid with a black post sticking out of it.
