Team 125 - Minibot deployment close-up

A post-match view of 125's minibot deployment. Minibot is launched down a linear bearing using surgical tubing and a servo release. Minibot successfully won 10 straight minibot races at the Bayou Regional.

What are the strings coming out of the sides of 1/4-20 quick frame? What are they for just to keep up and release the deployment.

Its just 1"X1" square aluminum tubing, not 80/20. The strings run up to the servo release during the match and release the deployment system when triggered.
