8WD chassis based on the frame discussed here:

although 3 cross braces are shown only 2 are necessary depending on what manipulator is put on the frame.the middle wheels are dropped 1/8 inch live axle's, and the outer wheels are dead axle driven from the nearest live axle wheel.
as pictured, weight is estimated at 36lbs, with only 2 cross braces its weighs 32 lbs. not included are rivets, bearings, and bolts.
