No, Team 4159 is competing in the Sacramento Regional this year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the first FRC team from the city and county of San Francisco.

There used to be, a few years ago, but yes we are the only existing FRC team in San Francisco

Good luck in Sac! From what I've read, it's "the most defensive-heavy regional in California" (New Cool). Although one of the defense-heavy teams (668, The Apes of Wrath) won't be there this year, since they won't be competing without a lead mentor (They'll be back next year). We have adopted them into our robotics family, so now 668 and 256 are one (sorta). I think 1868 won't be doing Sac, so I see your rookie team going very far.

I just checked the FIRST website and it says they 1868 is indeed going to SAC. It should be an interesting competition this year with only 3 rookie teams competing.
