Pinball Wizard

Here's what 1583s robot looks like after 4 weeks. The only mechanism it's missing is the bridge depressor. It has a pinball type shooter because of our poor experience with a 'pitching machine' style shooter in 2006. The shooter is not dependent on the surface condition on the balls. It uses four strands of '20 lb' latex tubing shooting at a 60 degree angle. It cocks, loads the ball and shoots in about 2 seconds. We are doing floor pick up and as you can see the magazine will hold three balls. We'll be at the Colorado scrimmage on the 18th in Colorado Springs. If you're in the neighborhood come by and say hello.
