 Practice bots are not regulated by FIRST. Your practice bot could have a flamethrower and a jamming device on it, and they wouldn't care in the slightest.

Locknuts and Loctite
As the picture shows not all Locknuts are created equal. Thin locknuts are available from various suppliers. They can represent a huge weight savings for bolt together teams. Stick Loctite is easier, quicker and not as messy to use. It comes in various strengths.
