Introducing our 2012 Team 48 competition and practice robots, xtremachen15 (aka "Howie", aka "Kyrie") and "Andy". Go Cavs.
The feature of this bot that sticks out the most is the tilting cage/shooter that doubles as the bridge tender. Also, with the cage tilt, CG is never an issue on the field.

Indeed they are, backed by lexan. They seem to do the trick. We'll have graphics applied to hide the velcro.
Would you prefer pink? :-) |

New vid links with the most recent testing. Adding our new retractable shooting hood not only permits topspin lob shots cross-court, but also seems to have improved shooter accuracy and efficiency in the normal backspin mode.

Now that the regional season has ended, I wanted to share some information and video links of Team 48's competitive season for the benefit of any St. Louis scouters (*cough* *hack* and FRCTop25 voters *cough hack cough*).
******
Team 48 Season Summary through end of regionals:
Ranked 25th out of 2332 teams with an Adjusted OPR of 26.7 (Ed Law)
3 Regionals Attended, 2 of which are considered by many to be 2 of the more competitive events this season. Consistency in Hybrid Scoring/Bridge Balancing and steady improvement in Teleop performance was the name of our game this year.
We have a triple balance assist device onboard and will continue to prepare for its usage heading into St. Louis - we will be ready to be a part of any "double stinger" triple balance alliance. Here is a video of us practicing one version of a triple with 2481 and 45 in Queen City: http://youtu.be/mZoVqUAWyEs

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...18&postcount=3Thank you to all team members, sponsors, parents, and other supporters of our program for working so hard to get us this far in what has become our best competitive season ever. Here's hoping we can put on one more entertaining showing at a fun and successful Championship Event!
