Katies senior picture

Katie is the last remaining original member of Exploding Bacon. She started on the team when she was 11. In 7 years on the team we have won 8 medals, and she was a Dean's List Finalist. We are so proud of her. Good Luck at Embry Riddle.

She is surrounded by a piece from every robot we have built and all the trophies. It was a really fun and different senior photo shoot.

The first time I met Katie was at Lone Star Regional - Bacon's rookie year. If I remember correctly, she was helping you help another team, Wendy.

What an amazing 7 years for all of you! Congratulations, Katie, and best of luck.

Mazel Tov KT. We were rookies with you at the 2006 Lone Star regional.

I still wish we had one of my older daughter's senior pictures taken with our 2007 robot, she was controls and team captain, and her baby won the Bayou that year.

My twins will have their senior pic. taken with their baby our 2012 robot.

Great luck and good health in all you do

What a fantastic photo.
Congratulations Katie - I've known Bacon forever thanks to wendymom promising to be my 'robo-mom' and watch out for me when I'm traveling (Thanks Wendy!) ... and I've had the joy of watching you grow up within FIRST - you're headed for great things. Best of luck.

Oink oink...

BOOM!

One of the coolest pictures of one of the coolest students on one of the coolest teams I've had the privilege to work with.

Congrats on everything, Katie! Libby is right, you have *great* things in your future!

This is a very cool senior picture, congratulations! I am also attending Embry Riddle next year and would love to be able to get in touch with Katie, since we are now both officially FIRST Alumni!

48 has three seniors attending there as well, along with one of last year's seniors. I'm sure they'd also love to know about other FIRST-friendly folks down there.

Congratulations Katie on graduation and such an awesome picture. Katie has been around 1902 for as long as I can remember. Katie is always willing to help others with a smile and has been instrumental in making 1902 the team they are today. Best of luck in the future with continuing your edcuation.

Congratulations Katie! Quite an accomplishment and a great way to observe it. Can't wait to see 1902 at the conference next week. Best of luck in your future.

This is as close a picture as can be made of mental "muscle." Insofar as FIRST aspires to be sport for the mind, making photos of the results is much more difficult than those ordinary sports. Have an equally amazing time at Embry, Katie. By all means meet with the other FIRST alumni there to talk over your experiences. Perhaps you will be the one(s) to solve the Embry Riddle.

Congratualtions on all of your awards, Katie.

It has been fun watching you grow up over these years.

Being one of the old guys, I've had the pleasure (for the most part) of watching many FIRST students grow up with the teams.

Good luck.

We are all quite proud of Katie. She was a joy to have on our FLL team for 2 years, and our FRC for 7. We are looking forward to her showing the world what she can do while in college.

For anyone that didn't see it, I posted her nomination essay for the Dean's list here. A student can accomplish a lot when on a team for 7 years, but everything Katie has done to inspire the Central Florida community is just jaw-dropping.
