We tested our VEXpro chassis yesterday.

wilsonmw04I saw the video of you rolling over righside-up disks. Did you try them upside-down?

CalTranLooks great. Is the VEX chassis about the same as the kit bot? Any significant difference?

MrForbes
We should be getting our vexpro chassis parts in the mail in a few days. Thinking about the driving over Frisbees problem....it seems it would be relatively easy to put some type of "skirt" at each end of each chassis side, to push Frisbees aside rather than drive over them. Perhaps just a short piece of Lexan or something.

It's sheet metal instead of extrusion.
Take a look at it here: http://www.vexrobotics.com/vexpro/ch...-in-a-day.html |

Akash RastogiHow much chain wrap do you have on the wheel between the front set and the gearbox? Looks very minimal, but I can't quite tell.

hyperion3360What are those wheels? You're the second team we see with these and we can't find them on AndyMark

lyncaWe built a 6-wheel drive VEXpro chassis shown in our mid-season video (non-youtube version )
6:1 single speed vex gearbox , 24:12 sprockets , 4" versa wheels, 6 motors.
We were impressed with the acceleration but also a bit worried about the sensitivity (driving straight takes some practice). We are thinking about adding exponential control to make small joystick changes less noticeable and low speeds .
I'm curious to know what ratios other teams are using ?

MrForbes
We went for 5.33:1, but haven't got it moving yet.
And we are planning to add exponential control.
