We tested this design for our 2013 robot. It works really well but we could not use it due to over weight. We found it dificult fo find a light lift system that would take us past the first level. The Link to the video is http://youtu.be/C_DjsSfcjF4

EricLeifermannThis is awesome, too bad you couldn't get it on your bot. It would be insane if you could actually climb that fast as well with a fully loaded robot attached to it.

CalTranHoly...that's fantastic. Crazy fast. What else does your robot have on it that caused it to be overweight?

If geared correctly, something close to this design should be as quick as made possible with the motor allowances...

philsoThat is so ingenious! Please take it to your regional and show it off even if it is not mounted on your robot. It is so cool that more people should be able to see it. Of course, make a video and post it too.

joeweberFor the test we used a hole haug drill 350 rpms, our robot had two CIM'S about 100 rpm's. our robot design was tall with limited physical size and weight room.

philsoYes, I saw the video in your first post. My boys thougt it was well worth getting out of bed to watch it. I was hoping that you could make one of it climbing further on a real pyramid.
