We're talking about compass bearings in Pre-Calc, so I threw this together to show what bearings actually are.

Now you could also do a polar graph on that bearing

Ahem, True north is actual several degrees to the west. I recommend orientating it slightly east before releasing this product.

It might be several degrees to the west in Minnesota (and Indiana, and a number of other locations), but that's not a globally universal truth.
