Bit Buckets Underwater Robot

The Bit Buckets (FRC Team 4183) built this underwater robot for the 2013 National Underwater Robotics Competition, hosted by Team 842, Falcon Robotics. ahh yes. the old Mayfair bilge pump cartage with a propeller trick. I like the color scheme too

That is SO cool. I wish we could do NURC!

I assume the airspace is to keep the electronics dry...
I wonder if you could use mineral oil around the electronics to balance the buoyancy more? http://www.pugetsystems.com/submerged.php
