Spectrum 3847 Final Cart

Here is the final product of our cart project. It took a little longer than we thought to finally get it powder coated but it was well worth the wait. We'll have it at all our 2014 events and Houston Robot Remix on Nov 2nd.

Yours looks about the same width as ours. Watch the handle. Itll flex on ya!

Looks good. Be protective of that finish

Very nice! Are you planning on using the bottom part for storage?

How does the cart retain stuff from falling off the top level? For example: a robot or tools?

Well yours (3310) looks exactly like ours... Hmm... maybe they were manufactured together...

Wooden stands get added each year to support the robot, raise the wheels off the platform for testing, and to not have a metal on metal contact. This insulates the cart from the robot and doesn't scratch either as much.

Other things, like tools, are able to slide off the top but they shouldn't be stored there anyway. Not having a lip on the top shelf allows for larger items to be placed on the cart with overhang and they sit level. The bottom section has a lip so that tools, batteries, and other items will not fall off.
