Looks like my description was too long and got cut off. The main point was that I need a new game to think about so I can find a better use for my leisure time.

Why is it driven by BAG motors? CIMs are far more powerful.

A couple of things:
1) This drive is just a dry joke, so don't think about it too hard. Or if it wasn't a joke, it was a thought experiment that I tried instead of doing something useful for an hour. OR, maybe it was my anxiety for the upcoming season causing me to make bad decisions.
2) Leaving aside #1, it was easier to fit BAG motors into an unreasonably small robot frame like this. Initially I was going to make an FTC / Tetrix drive with FRC electronics on it, because that sounded kind of entertaining if one likes black humor, but then I decided to make it FRC legal by not using Tetrix motors.
