Here's a picture of our 2014 'bot! I wanted to make sure I had something on TBA for early scouting, but I'll put up a better picture as soon as I find one. [Please disregard in-progress bumpers.]
DT: modified AM14U with four 8" mecanums (toughbox nanos, CIMs)
Pickup: Hooks/claws! (now, with extra actuation!
) picks up with no claw actuation; claw actuation: lead screw driven by a PG27; claw assembly rotation: geared down PG71
Kicker: ~4lbs, driven by two CIMs (with the option to add a mini-CIM, thusfar we really, really haven't needed it)
In short: claws pick up the ball by squishing down on it, rotate back, open up a little, and then we can kick it. Anywhere. Fast.
