Our robot this year was created to be simple and a great high goal shooter. We have the ability to shoot both single auto and double auto. We have a six wheel drop center 3.25 in wheel drive, and we use ball shifters with custom 3rd stages that directly drive the center wheels on the 2014 Drive in a Day frame for low speed of 7 fps and high of 17 fps.
We use a catapult drawn back by a custom ballshifter in under 1 second and have the ability to shoot over the truss to a human player or another robot. We can score 1 point goals and acquire the ball quickly and securely every time. We have encoder and gyro read out with mobility in autonomous.
We have the ability to catch a human player's soft toss and to hold and pass the ball on our bumper. Motorized collector allows multiple angle positions for some slight variations on gathering, catching, hold, ejecting, and shooting.
We would also recognize the Ri3D and Build Blitz teams for providing a lot of useful ideas for teams to work with.
