Very well built robot this year. I just have one question. For your wings/catcher, is that bent square aluminum tubing? If so, how did you bend it? Thanks.

Hi, just completed and survived our first comp day at the Hawaii Regional. Yes, the wings are bent square aluminum tubing 1" x 1", 1/16" thick. We used a tubing bender from Probender.com its a nice air over hydraulic unit and has a manual pump as well. There are many high quality units from different companies such as JD squared. What we like about the probender is that its on wheels, and doesn't need to be bolted to the ground to work. They have dies for all sorts of tubing and has a large capacity. If you get the bender, you will want to look at the Bendtech software which tells you how to layout the tubing and where to place it from the end before bending to make complex shapes. It takes into account the bending radius and springback. I highly recommend them. If we didn't have the bender, we would have welded the tubing at 90 degrees. Saves time. We had to use 6063 tubing as 6061-T6 would snap (we tried). Anyway, sorry we didn't respond sooner. We were prepping for the Hawaii Regional.

Wow... You have probably the best driven swerve I've seen this year. Being able to shoot with the intake up looks awesome, I think it's one of the attributes that separates the best catapults from the good catapults.

Watching you guys is so much fun. I'm so glad 368 is back, this bot might be the best of all of your great robots. I will be watching you guys all season long, I think it's going to be a special one from what I've seen so far.

Wow! That there is one high performance vehicle! Good luck at the rest of HIHO, though you probably don't need it

1717 eat your heart out and 16, you have at the very least, an Aloha twin. This machine is fast. They keep getting better as this is only their 1st event.
I can't wait til they go back to SVR next week. 😃

Thanks! We did far better than we ever anticipated.

I looked through the pictures I have, but none of them were up close of the swerve. I'll check with what our engineering mentors have. Otherwise, you're welcome to take a look all you want this weekend at SVR. Can't wait!

I would love to see some pictures of the swerve up close. Out of curiosity what speed are you running it at? We have really bad power draw issues with ours and you guys seem to be having none of it. An amazing machine one of the best I have seen this year.

Based on watching all of your matches that are on Youtube, you are in my opinion, the best robot this season all around.

Amazing robot in almost every regard. It was a thrill to watch, an honor to drive with, and a beautiful challenge to drive against. Believe the hype.

Good luck on the rest of your season 368.
