Bevel Drive Gearbox Front

Entering the final stages of CAD for this bevel drive gearbox and it has been quite some time in the making. The only thing left is to add the third stage to the box. If you guys like it and want the CAD I will post a link.

Is the third stage going to include a longer output shaft for a WCD system? of The 2nd stage output going to be longer for that? What's spread? High/low fps? weight? How long is it?

Also if you can in the future, it would to be fun to see these in cad.

Looks nice, but really thick and it seems like it would be hard to repair. And I agree with Ronnie, the output shaft is pretty small (which I am assuming that it can be easily replaced with a longer one).

I would assume that the output shaft is so short because it only needs to hold one gear.

I have attached the CAD files below but don't have a computer with inventor in front of me so I can not give you any weight or specific dimensions. I can tell you that the enclosure is only slightly larger than a standard VEX Ball Shifter. Our FPS as of right now with 4in wheels and no third stage is 15.0fps in high gear and 6.6fps in low gear. As for the output shaft length the shaft showing right now is only going to hold a gear for the third stage and the gear it drives will have a much longer output shaft. Hope that makes sense, I typed it on my phone so no promises.

I am going to assume your right also, designed like the 3 cim ball shifter output(before 3rd stage). I was just wondering if they planned on testing with just the 2 stages with a WCD.

Great design, I really like the layout. This would be great for a year when clearance down the middle of the bot is a benefit. A little extra power loss from the extra stage of gears but packaging is the tradeoff. Next time I would recommend saving as a .stp file so the CAD's not software specific.

What's the weight and dimensions?
Looks pretty good, but having some kind of 3rd cim add on would be useful I think.

Please upload a .stp if you can please! I want to take a closer look at this gearbox. It looks extremely compact, and possibly moddable to produce a shifter for swerve drives.
