Go to Post Put on shows. Start new teams, FRC, FVC, or FLL. It doesn't matter. But I know that being on the robotics team has given me some of the best memories of my life, and I wouldn't want anybody else to miss out on that. - irishninja [more]

Team 2980 at the St. Patrick's Day Parade

Team 2980 update:

Hey there to all teams! We haven't posted in a while but here is a picture of us attending the St. Patrick's Day Parade! We are doing this in between competition of Mount Vernon (week 3) and Auburn (week 5). We are pleased to announce that we have officially won the Chairman's Award at the Mount Vernon PNW District event! This will qualify us to go to the Pacific Northwest State Championships in Cheney, WA, which will occur on week 6. We'll see you there and at Auburn next week!

Best of Luck to all!
-Chris

Congratulations on the Chairman's win last week! It is evident from all you have done and all you continue to do that you are an amazing asset to your community. I look forward to playing with you at Auburn.

Also, I know you guys missed the field for your last two matches at Mt. Vernon, is there anything you guys need help with to make it back out there? Happy to help in whatever small way my team or myself can.

Congratulation again!

Thank you so much for your offer to help. We came to a conclusion about our robot...We were doing more damage on the field than off...Our robot suffered from a number of design flaws that left us unable to contribute in a meaningful way, and more often than not getting in the way of our alliance partners. We chose instead to take the available out of bag time to work on improving our robot so as to be a better alliance partner in Auburn than to continue causing problems for our alliance partners :-( We have changed out our drive train and are going to make some other changes during our access period.

BTW can't wait to play with 360! We love you guys!

Glad to hear that you've got things figured out. What did you change your holonomic to?

We went with 6 inch mecanum wheels driven at 12:1 directly connected to the output shaft of the gearbox. Our drive train is longer which should help with stability.

We are talking over other changes.

we are losing the back "conveyer belt mechanism in favor of a noodle plow...

We are hoping to change our gripper in some way...how much is the current question.

Course there are probably other things that will come up as a result of the things mentioned above...
