Here are the infamous robotic pits (left) and arenas (other left)
The pits were erected on part of the Epcot parking lot.
One year it rained so hard and so fast that the pits flooded. Imagine coming into the pit area with 6" of water on the floors and you robot in the middle of it.

The best part of that flood was the floors floated so you had no idea how far you would sink as you walked.

They had ac so it was an awesome place to be at champs. Being outside was BRUTAL.
