Finally finishing up rev. 3 of the robot design this year. (First year including a custom dual output WC gear box and custom WC Chassis.) Final should be done within the next couple days. Just have to add on bumper attachments and tweak a little things. So excited for this year! Plan on attacking all defenses, shooting high goal, and scaling the tower. See you at Little Rock and Smokey Mountain Regional.

Poseidon5817Will all that actually be carbon fiber, or is that just for the cool visual?

How do you plan to go over the rock wall? It looks like you're using 8'' pneumatic wheels, so the frame would have about 3'' of ground clearance. Right now, your drivetrain frame would hit the rock wall before the wheels do. Am I missing some other mechanism?

there is a cutout in the front. looks like 1in. Along with the tilt given from the ramp, looks like it would be easy to go over the rock wall.
I cant really judge the height of the robot because of the odd angles, but it looks like it is around 16in. to go under the low bar, the robot (at least the fount and back) has to be well below 16in because of the tilting that the robot will face driving up and down the ramp. for my team, we have set 14in to be the max height any part of the robot. |
