These were from our drivetrain at 10K lakes. We have another gear that looks like this and is why we didn't compete in our semis matches. Shout out to Vex for getting us replacements for worlds.

I see I've started a "post your broken gears" phenomenon.

OblargAre these the 14t gears? We had the exact same failure at our first district. Swapped them for steel replacements.
We also noticed some significant wear on the input gears, which seemed to be due to our CIMs getting pushed out of position (from inboard to outboard). We secured them with hose clamps and the problem went away - a nice trick to remember for the future.

These are the 14t gears in the second reduction. We also switched to steel for champs and had success with them there. Lessons learned. Although I do not we have experienced any problems with the pinion gears on the CIMs. I will check again and thanks for the heads up.
